Our stay in San Diego comes to an end. Having said goodbye to friends, we値l set out on our trip back north. We値l stop by Palm Springs. While there, we値l consider taking a ride on the Aerial Tramway.

We値l fly to Death Valley for some site seeing. On the air navagation charts, there is quite a bit of controlled airspace in the inland desert area. There are many Military Operation Areas (MOA) and other Restricted Airspace sections. I wonder exactly where Area 51 is. We値l be close to Edwards AFB and China Lake. We値l land at the airport in Death Valley (L06) and see some of The Death Valley National Park. There is a campground in Furnace Creek and a nearby museum. This DeathValley site has some less "commercial" type and more general information about the area.

Before continuing north to Oceano, we値l camp at a campsite for the night. Kern Valley and its airport Kernville Airport (L05) is located right on Isabella Lake and has a fly-in campground at the airport.
