We will depart Paine Field (PAE) in Everett on July 3^rd where I park my airplane at Regal Air. On our way south, we will fly a circle around Mount Saint Helens for sight seeing. We will also stop at Cascade Locks (CZK) an airport along the Columbia River for a rest, refuel, and chance to see this river. This marks our departure from Wasington state and entry into Oregon.

While in Oregon, we’ll overfly Portland and Salem and make a stop in North Bend to refuel.

Our next stop will mark our entry into the state of California. We’ll stay overnight at a place on an airport where you can park your airplane next to your room! Samoa Airport (O33) Bed & Breakfast near Eureka, CA. I’ve heard that the Samoa Cookhouse is a good place to eat.

• Update: Paine Field has been socked in all day long with ceilings less that 1000 feet. So, we will try again tomorrow. For the schedule, we will move departure forward by one day. But the weather looks questionable for tomorrow too. But for now, we plan on spending the night of July 4^th in Eureka, and arriving in San Diego about 5:00 pm Sunday the 5^th. So the Padres game is erased from the schedule.
